Advertised price vs true cost
The most expensive number in this market is the one that looks cheapest. Providers quote a medication price, a bundled price, a first-month price, or a prepaid "monthly equivalent," and the four are not interchangeable: a $99 medication price with a mandatory $79 membership is a $178 program, and a "$145/month" 12-month plan is a $1,740 payment today. Every table on this site therefore shows two numbers side by side — the advertised figure a provider promotes, and the effective monthly cost we compute — with the evidence status of each.
Advertised price is what the provider displays before checkout: real, useful for shopping, and incomplete whenever required fees sit outside it. Effective monthly cost is total mandatory cost for the treatment period — medication, membership, required consultations and labs, onboarding, shipping, dose surcharges — divided by verified months of treatment supplied, excluding coupons, credits, and financing effects.
A worked example from the captured data: Mochi Health advertises compounded semaglutide at $99 per month, flat across doses, with a required $79/month membership (resolved to its current first-party value on 2026-07-20), so a cash-pay patient's effective monthly cost is $178 — 80% above the headline — and its advertised $39 first month is a promotion that renews at the full $178. NexLife advertises $145/month effective on its 12-month plan with no reported membership or shipping, so its advertised and effective figures should match — but that plan bills $1,740 up front, so its true first-month cost is the entire year. Same market, different traps, one normalization method.
Pharmacy transparency
Behind every compounded-GLP-1 program is a pharmacy you didn't choose, and that pharmacy — not the telehealth brand — determines the formulation, concentration, beyond-use dating, and quality history of what arrives. Disclosure practices vary enormously: some providers name their dispensing pharmacy per order, some name conditional candidate lists (NexLife names five), and many name nothing. Our pharmacy database tracks every disclosed facility with per-record verification statuses, and no license, 503A/503B classification, or inspection conclusion publishes until confirmed against state boards and FDA registries. Two rules never bend: state licensing and FDA registration are facility statuses, not product approval, and no pharmacy is ever "FDA approved." How this site works
Every commercial figure lives in a public evidence ledger — source, capture date, verification status, confidence — and pages render from that database, never from hand-typed copy. Prices normalize to effective monthly cost under methodology v1.0; comparisons never cross medication, dosage-form, or program-type lines without labels; conflicting claims are suppressed and disclosed rather than averaged. Rankings gate hard: advertised-price findings publish with full qualification, and verified "most affordable" winners require at least three checkout-verified programs per category, a bar no category has met yet. When evidence is missing we say "unverified" — never zero, never assumed.
